TRY IT & CHECK THE RESULT
Trim empty borders, not information
Begin with 5% on each side of the practice PDF. On its 595 × 842 point page, that leaves a visible area of 535.5 × 757.8 points. The percentages apply to each page independently, so the same setting removes different physical widths from differently sized pages.

What to check in your download
Review all four edges at a readable zoom, especially stamps, signatures and page numbers. Cropping changes the visible boundary and may not reduce file size. Hidden material can still exist in the file; use a proper redaction process when information must be removed permanently.
If the result is not what you expected
If content is cut off, return to the original and reduce the margin. Each side allows 0–40%, and at least one side must be above zero. Re-cropping an already cropped file applies percentages to its current visible area.
Limits and what to review
Cropping changes the visible page boundary only. Content outside the boundary can remain recoverable in the PDF. Do not use cropping to redact confidential information.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping reduce the file size?
Not necessarily. The tool changes the visible boundaries, rather than deleting all content outside them.
Are hidden details permanently removed?
No. Visual cropping is not secure redaction; use a dedicated redaction workflow for sensitive material.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Files are processed within your browser session. Download results before closing the page; there is no cloud document history.
