TRY IT & CHECK THE RESULT
Set a useful document title
A PDF filename and its internal title are separate. Try changing the practice PDF title to Application bundle, then save the result. A viewer may show the title in its tab while your file manager still displays the filename.
Download the practice PDF · Synthetic content, no personal data.
What to check in your download
Open document properties in a PDF viewer to check title, author, subject and keywords. Clearing properties removes document-level information handled by this tool; it does not delete names printed on pages, image metadata, attachments or comments.
If the result is not what you expected
If an old title remains in a browser tab, close that preview and open the downloaded copy. Renaming a file alone does not change its internal metadata. Use the original file when a signed or controlled document must remain unchanged.
Limits and what to review
Property cleanup is not full anonymization. Page content, annotations, embedded images, attachments, and other structures may still contain identifying information.
Frequently asked questions
Does changing the title alter the visible heading?
No. This edits the document property. Use PDF editor to change supported visible page text.
Does clearing properties remove all personal data?
No. It clears selected document-level properties only; inspect the entire document before sharing sensitive material.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Files are processed within your browser session. Download results before closing the page; there is no cloud document history.
